Privacy policy

Worrrds is a free word puzzle game with no advertisements or in-app purchases. You do not need to create a Worrrds account to play.

On your device

Worrrds stores your game progress, scores, preferences and pending Game Center updates locally. These allow you to resume a game and keep your settings. We do not operate a server that receives your saved board.

Apple Game Center

If you use Game Center, Worrrds sends scores and achievement progress to Apple's service and reads Game Center information needed to show your results. Scores are organized by the language you play. The app uses your Game Center player identifier to keep local pending results associated with the correct player.

Leaderboard information may be visible to others according to Game Center's features and your Apple settings. Apple operates Game Center under its own privacy terms. You can manage Game Center through your device settings. The puzzle remains playable without Game Center.

Advertising and tracking

Worrrds contains no advertising and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Versions with optional analytics use PostHog only when you enable sharing in Options.

Optional gameplay analytics

Analytics sharing is off by default. If enabled in Options, PostHog (EU hosting) receives game starts and ends, word sends, completed turns and shuffles, with language, word length, scores, lines, combos, power-ups used, app version and build. Events are linked to your app installation through a persistent random identifier; they are not anonymous. We do not send your Game Center ID, word text, board contents, screen recordings or advertising ID. Your IP address is processed to deliver requests; geographic enrichment is disabled.

You can stop future analytics collection in Options. Turning sharing off does not delete previously sent events. Contact contact@raphaelterrier.com for privacy questions or deletion assistance.

Support

If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send and use it to respond to your request. Do not send sensitive personal information. We keep support correspondence only as needed to address the request and meet applicable obligations. Contact us to request deletion of correspondence we hold.

Your choices

You can play offline and change game preferences within the app. Deleting the app removes its local app data from the device; device backups may retain copies according to your Apple settings. Removing the app does not necessarily remove Game Center records held by Apple. Manage those records and your Game Center account through Apple's available controls and support.
